1. Enter the original price. 2. Enter the first discount percentage. 3. Optionally enter a second discount. 4. See final price and total savings.

Formula

Final price = Original * (1 - d1/100) * (1 - d2/100). Savings = Original - Final price.

Examples

  • $100 with 20% off → Final = $80, Save = $20
  • $100 with 20% + 10% stacked → Final = $72, Save = $28 (not 30% = $70)

Important notes

Stacked discounts apply sequentially; they are not simply added together.

Frequently asked questions

Why is 20% + 10% not 30%?

The second discount applies to the already-discounted price, not the original.
